Privacy policy

This page explains what data trueboost.ru collects about you and about players, why it is needed and how to delete it. We collect only what the site cannot work without, and we sell nothing.
1. Who processes the data
The data is processed by the TrueBoost administration, the team behind trueboost.ru. You can reach us through support. The data is stored on our server in Russia.
2. What we collect
Site visitors. The web server writes the IP address, page address, browser and time of each request to a technical log. The log keeps the site running and lets us protect it from attacks; entries are deleted after about two weeks.
Server page views. To show how many people opened a server page, we compute a hash of the IP address and browser with a secret key. The hash is kept for no more than two days and only makes one visitor count once a day; the database keeps only the number of views per day.
Cookies. The site sets only the cookies it needs:
- the sign-in session and the name for the site header, for 30 days;
- your answer about visit statistics, for a year;
- the chosen language and region;
- temporary cookies while you sign in through Steam, Telegram or Discord, for 10 minutes.
3. Visit statistics
If you agreed in the cookie card, Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics run on public pages. They show us which pages people read and where they come from. Session recording is off. Without consent the counters do not load at all. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the page.
Sign-in, account, support and administration pages carry no counters.
4. Account
You can sign in through Steam, Telegram or Discord. From them we receive only the account id, the public name and an avatar link. We do not receive or ask for a password, email or phone number.
The account holds the linked sign-in methods, the servers you verified, public API keys (only their hash; the key itself is shown once) and your support requests.
5. Game servers and players
Servers. We poll CS 1.6 servers over the open A2S protocol and store what a server tells everyone about itself: name, map, players and slots. We find the server's country from its IP with the DB-IP database, which lives on our server and sends the address nowhere. Nicknames from the player list are compared in memory only, to find mirrors, and are not stored.
Players on servers with the TrueBoost plugin. The server owner installs the plugin. It sends us the player's SteamID and IP, but we store only their hash computed with a secret key: neither the SteamID nor the IP can be recovered from it. Next to the hash we store joins and leaves, playtime, the client (NextClient or GsClient), whether the player has a Steam licence, hashes of client build files, the team choice and the number of rounds. Player nicknames are not stored.
6. Why we need it
- to show the real online of servers and count how many players promotion brings;
- to tell real online from inflated online and mirrors;
- to let you sign in, verify your server and get the plugin and keys;
- to answer support requests;
- to see which pages are useful, only if you agreed to statistics.
7. Who receives the data
We do not sell data or share it for advertising.
With your consent, visit data goes to Yandex (Metrica) and Google (Analytics) under their own terms. When you sign in, you confirm it with Steam, Telegram or Discord yourself. Data may be handed to state authorities on a lawful request.
8. How long we keep data
- the web server's technical log, about two weeks;
- the sign-in session, 30 days; the cookie answer, a year;
- the account, verified servers and support requests, until you delete the account;
- plugin data about player joins, while it is needed for the server's statistics or until the server owner asks to delete it;
- public server data, without a time limit, as online history.
9. Your rights
You can learn what data we hold about you, correct it, delete the account with everything tied to it, or withdraw consent to statistics. Sign-in methods are linked and unlinked in your account, consent is changed with Cookie settings. For anything else write to support: we answer within 10 working days.
We cannot recognise a player by the hash, so a request to delete a player's data from a server should go through that server's owner.
10. How we protect data
The site works over HTTPS only. Sessions are signed with a secret key, API keys are stored as hashes, and players' SteamIDs and IPs as hashes with a secret key. Only the administration has access to the database.
11. Changes to this policy
If the policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If the set of statistics services changes, we will ask for consent again.
